The three day course is
intended for Public Information Officers (PIO). The G290 class emphasizes the
basic skills and knowledge needed for emergency management public information
activities or as a refresher. Mock interviews will be videotaped.
The G291
class applies the skills gained in the PIO class to expanding incidents where
coordination is enhanced through the establishment of a Joint Information
System (JIS)/Joint Information Center (JIC).
