TOWN OF DE BE BEQUE SOUTH of S ½ ROAD BEING EVACUATED BY MESA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE and De BEQUE FIRE DEPARTMENT IS EVACUATING U RD. SOUTH.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office has issued an evacuation to
all residence and business south of S ½ road, west of 45.5 Rd and east of I
70.
Those affected by this evacuation should leave the area
immediately via the De Beque Cutoff and travel towards the town of Mesa then
take HWY 65 back to I70. Evacuees can go to Palisade High School.
All others should avoid I 70.
Fire behavior is considered extreme with wind conditions not
set to diminish for some time.
