Fire Jurisdiction: Fire started on BLM land and has burned on to private land.
Location/County: Five miles south of Elk Springs off Highway 40 in Moffat County.
Cause: Lightning
Acres: 6100 Acres
Containment: 75% with full containment projected for August 9
Significant Events:
There
has been no additional growth today on the Wolf Fire. Burning today
was from areas inside the fire perimeter of unburned trees and
vegetation. No aerial support was needed today and demobilization of
engines and crews is underway. The remaining incident personnel will
continue mopping up and cold trailing, ensuring hot spots near the
fireline are out.
