The Klikus Fire is located approximately 5 miles west of LaVeta.
Type III Unified Command – LaVeta Fire Protection, Colorado Fire Prevention and Patrol, US Forest Service.
The fire is in rough terrain. Approximately 60 acres have burned with 75% containment.
Evacuation orders have been lifted.
No structure damage at this time.
There are 34 fire fighters on site. A hand crew of approximately 30 fire fighters are expected to arrive in the next few hours to assist with the fire.
Stage I Fire Restriction has been implemented in Huerfano County; effective immediately.
