State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) Status Level 3

SEOC continues to support of the following: U.S. 50 Blue Mesa Reservoir Bridge Closure, Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Weld County and supports wildfire recovery efforts statewide.

SEOC is operational Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ouray County Local Emergency Disaster 

On August 14, 2024 Ouray County declared an local emergency disaster due to the impacts of severe storms and moisture that caused flooding and damage to roads and critical infrastructure.  DHSEM West Area Field Manager is providing direct support and technical assistance to the county.

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI)

The Governor of Colorado verbally declared a disaster emergency on July 5, 2024. This declaration activates the State Emergency Operations Plan and directs the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) to take all necessary and appropriate State actions to assist the affected jurisdictions with their response, recovery, and mitigation efforts.

The Colorado State Emergency Operations Center is supporting and monitoring the fires below.  Information is also updated on our wildfire map

The State Recovery Task Force initial meeting held on  August 8, 2024 by the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.   DHSEM is supporting recovery efforts for the July fires.
