Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI)
The Governor of Colorado verbally declared a disaster emergency on July 5, 2024. This declaration activates the State Emergency Operations Plan and directs the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) to take all necessary and appropriate State actions to assist the affected jurisdictions with their response, recovery, and mitigation efforts.

State Recovery Task Force initial meeting is scheduled for August 8,
2024 and is managed by the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and
Emergency Management.
