State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) Status Level 3

SEOC is operational Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

The SEOC is starting planning for the arctic storms that are forecast to bring in subzero temperature and snow to Colorado.

Arctic Winter Storm Preparation

The  SEOC is preparing for the winter storm expected to impact Colorado from Friday, January 17 through Monday, January 20.  The SEOC receives daily briefings from the NWS each day. DHSEM Field Operations Team is coordinating with county emergency managers in the state to prepare for potential resource requests due to the extreme low temperatures in the forecast for this weekend. 

A webpage with with shelters opened and staffed by local city and county agencies will be posted on our DHSEM website.  We will also share social media posts from agencies on our social media accounts and tag them with #COShelter.  Our social media platforms sharing information this weekend are:
